BIO Singer-songwriter Mike McKenna Jr. is an ECMA-winning and a CFMA nominated artist from Cape Breton Island. his raspy, soulful voice and warm folk and Americana tones decorate powerful songs laden with captivating storytelling.

Born in the proud coal mining town of Glace Bay and raised along the Mira River, Mike's country-folk naturalist songwriting aesthetic points heavily to his roots growing up in Eastern Cape Breton.

Over the course of 4 studio albums, including his newest record Smokey Mountain High, he brings us the nostalgia of his home through dreamy narratives and true stories about life and death in Nova Scotias coastal, working-class communities.
