**CANCELED** Brighton Beach Memoirs

Valley Center Stage
North Bend, WA

Les ventes sont closes pour cet événement.

Online ticket sales end 3 hours before a performance. If you see "Sales Ended" for the performance date which you would like to attend, you may still be able to purchase a ticket at the box office. We set aside a certain number of seats for people purchasing tickets at the door. The box office opens at 7 PM (1:30 PM for Sunday matinees), so you might want to arrive at 6:30 PM (1 PM for Sunday matinees) in order to maximize your chances of a ticket being available at the door. It's very rare for us to not be able to accommodate all who desire to see a performance. If you have any questions about purchasing tickets, please send us an email at support@valleycenterstage.org or call us at (425) 200-8936. Please note that tickets are not for sale through email or by phone. Thank you. See you at the show!

Brighton Beach Memoirs has been canceled due to COVID-19 precautions. Please reach out to support@valleycenterstage.org if you have any questions.

Brighton Beach Memoirs is Part One of Simons humorous and poignant autobiographical trilogy. Simon brings to life the hardships that defined his depression-era youth through narrator, Eugene Jerome, who is a Jewish-American teenager in the throes of puberty, preoccupied with sex and obsessed with the Yankees. He lives with his immediate and extended Jewish family in a crowded, lower middle-class Brooklyn walk-up. According to the father, if you didn't have a problem, you wouldn't be living here, aptly describing the troubled Jerome household suffering illness, unemployment, poverty, deep resentments and the foreboding signs of World War II.  Eugene makes witty and unforgettable observations as he learns about girls, family, relationships, and a world on the verge of war.

Directed by VCS former Artistic Director, Jim Snyder, who loves to bring bittersweet stories to life through live theater. Recent directing credits include The Seafarer, Irma Vep, Superior Donuts, Steel Magnolias and Over the River and Through the Woods.  Jim recently returned to the stage as Oberon in last seasons A Midsummer Nights Dream.
